Special Days
| During each of our sessions, at key moments in time, we drop everything and immerse ourselves in very special activities. These events capture the imagination and hearts of our entire community and allow us to experience the ruach (spirit) and excitement that can only be found at a great summer camp. So whether it is Maccabiah (color war), ‘Backwards Day’, Israel Day, or an ‘80’s themed dinner, campers will have the time of their lives as they compete, learn and grow together. |

Each Friday afternoon we begin, what for many is our favorite special day, Shabbat. Each Shabbat evening a different village has the opportunity to lead our community in worship- be it traditional prayer, song, dance or creative writings – Judaism and Shabbat take on a new meaning at camp. Following services our community enjoys a traditional Shabbat dinner complete with fresh Challah, matzo ball soup and chicken. Spirit and ruach follow as we dance and sing in true Capital Camps style each Friday evening!
Saturdays at camp allow us to continue to observe Shabbat in our special way and enjoy some of the activities we love the most – Saturday afternoon is filled with choices!
